Stuvisor.com Tell us about your position and your career journey!
Ben My job title is “Global Head of Sales & Marketing” for Malvern International PLC. This means that I look after the promotion and growth of our three centers in London, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur – where we offer a variety of courses from English language programs to International Foundation Year programs to Undergraduate degree programs. The role has a global view not just of the schools but also of the markets we work with, so I am heavily involved in our strategic planning of the company and where we focus our efforts on student recruitment as well.
Stuvisor.com Could you introduce the NCUK program to us?
Ben
Stuvisor.com Sounds great, when does the intake for NCUK commence?
Ben The intake is in October and the program last for 9 months, allowing students to start their university degree the following September.
Stuvisor.com Speaking of the place, what are the benefits of studying at NCUK in London?
Ben London is still the world's number one destination for international students and provides a unique experience in the English-speaking world. No other English-speaking city has such a diverse range of historical and contemporary attractions to suit the needs of visitors of all ages. London is a city that offers excellent academic support with over 1000 museums & galleries and 120 libraries, including the British Library which houses over 150 million books! London is the city where DNA, fingerprints, and Penicillin were discovered, and is a centre of academic excellent with over 70 Nobel Laureates. But it’s not all hard work – London has over 100 parks, 7000 pubs and bars, 5000 restaurants, 350 live music venues, and 100 cinemas!
Stuvisor.com How would the NUCK program related to Malvern House? Please explain courses in Malvern House too!
Ben There are huge benefits to studying the NCUK program in London with Malvern House. As well as our excellent English for Academic Purposes teaching, students benefit from tutors in the specific subject areas with a wealth of experience. Our small class sizes (maximum 15) mean students get good contact time with their tutors and the course provides more contact hours than most with 21 hours of teaching per week. Add to this the cultural diversity and list of things to do in London and you have the perfect place for students to take their first step on their UK educational journey. And with the pound being a little weaker at the moment, the course is actually cheaper in London than in Seoul!
Stuvisor.com Thank you so much for your time, please keep us updated on the recruitment status next time!
Ben Will do, thank you for having me today!
