Agent Name: Mr. Muhammad Sajid Qureshi Agency Name: SAJID ENTERPRISES in Pakistan
Stuvisor.com: Hi Sajid, Thanks for your time during the this interview. How are you? Sajid: I am fine and first of all I am very pleased to be invited here. Thank you for this opportunity.
Stuvisor.com: Can we start a little bit of your agency story. How did you start your agency and develop it? Sajid: Actually before starting my company I was already involved in this work and I always found this work as the satisfaction of mind to help students so after a few years I have to start work professionally on universities requirement.
Stuvisor.com: Would you introduce the study abroad market trend in Pakistan this year? Sajid: In Pakistan, it is a dream for students to have a foreign degree from any developed country as upon their return job opportunities for such students are very rewarding. Due to the devaluation of our currency however, it is becoming difficult for our students to study in countries like Australia, the UK so trends are moving toward Malaysia, China, S.Korea as economical study destinations.
Stuvisor.com: You have started sending students to South Korea. How did you start it and which Korean Universities do you work with? Sajid: I started basically working with AJOU university and it is just my last trip when I came to South Korea and meet Mr. Kwon who agreed to work with me upon my return to Pakistan. I arranged seminars and on-spot interview sessions for Mr. Kwon in all major cities of Pakistan and did a lot of marketing as South Korea was never considered a study destination so we have to do extra effort for this.
Stuvisor.com: How many students did you send your students to South Korea so far this year? Sajid: Till now I have sent 26 students for degree programs to Ajou University in Korea but it only becomes possible with the support of Mr. Kwon as we started very late and the university has to extend admission deadlines for us.
Sajid: I can say only about AJOU university at the moment that I find them extremely cooperative and more professional than UK, and Australian universities in terms of swift services
Sajid: Yes surely, actually to develop market I would say like every other business it requires some investment as all other countries are doing so you too have to get you good share by providing your agents some marketing support so they may do regular activities in schools and colleges for promotion of Korean education.
Sajid: In Pakistan, there is a lot of demand for engineering and business courses so if these are offered with scholarships in English language it will help us to start promoting S. Korea efficiently.
Sajid: In Pakistan, there are a few small-scale associations made by a few agents group and I too work with a group of some agents whom I know are working fairly in the coming days I will like to bring more agents into my group.
Stuvisor.com: What’s your plan and vision for the study abroad market in the future? Sajid: As I said above, due to local currency devaluation and changes in visa policies and post-study work rights prohibitions in countries like the UK which was a most favorite destination for Pakistani students, it is the best time for new countries to stable their market share and gives a strong entry now. My plans are to do an exhibition for S.Korea Universities in the coming time like it is being done for other countries and I would to have your support in this regard.
