Stuvisor.com met up with Mr. Donald Pang at Raffles Education Network, situated in Singapore. It was only a short amount of time that we got to have a talk with him.

Stuvisor.com Okay, my first question would be what benefits would you consider that Raffles provide compared to other Design schools in Singapore?

Raffles is a unique design school where it has a network of established campuses in Asia Pacific where students have the options of experiencing their education in more than one country. This give student an edge over the others in terms of cross-cultural experiences and networking. Majority of our students are from all over the world likewise our experienced lecturers, whom we called creative practitioners, are from various countries. Raffles only focuses on industry-demand design courses instead of arts courses so that we train our students with practical skills for the job market.

 

Stuvisor.com What regions would you have in mind the most? The top 3 regions that students go to your school?

Donald

Most students are from the South East Asia countries.

The key regions would be Indonesia, Indo-China, China and Korea.

Stuvisor.com Would it be promising for students to consider the job opportunities in ASEAN after their graduation?

Donald  As our courses are industry-relevant, students will not have difficulty getting a job after their graduation. According to our in-house graduate survey, the majority of our students are able to land a job within 6 months. Raffles equips students with strong portfolios and industrial attachment.

Stuvisor.com How would you promote your school, as one of the famed Design Schools, to partner agencies?

Donald  We need to showcase our award-winning students as well as the success stories of our alumni. Our network of colleges and excellent facilities are a big advantage. As the class size is smaller (average of 15), the lecturer has more attention to individual student.
