Sejong University, in partnership with global study-abroad platform Stuvisor, will host a large-scale university admission fair for international students on May 13, 2025, at the university's Gwanggaeto Hall Convention Center in Seoul. The event is officially titled the “ISF University and Graduate Admission Fair for International Students (SUEF).”
The fair is recognized as a strategic initiative to provide practical guidance to international students seeking to study in Korea and to enhance the global competitiveness of domestic universities.
This event is being held in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s “Study Korea 300K Project,” a national strategy that aims to attract 300,000 international students by 2027. The goal is to elevate Korea into the ranks of the world’s top 10 study-abroad destinations while enhancing the quality and support systems for incoming students.
Approximately 1,000 participants are expected to attend, including representatives from universities, study-abroad agencies, and related institutions. Programs include 1:1 admission interviews, expert consulting sessions, and global education networking events. Students and the general public may attend for free, while institutions will be charged a booth fee of 990,000 KRW.
Han Jeong-hoon, Director of Sejong University’s One-Stop Service Center, stated, “This ISF SUEF is more than a simple university promotional event. It will offer international students the opportunity to meet university representatives face-to-face and plan their academic paths in a concrete manner. Sejong is building an end-to-end support system that spans from admission to post-graduation career development.”
Stuvisor CEO Ocean Yang added, “Over the past 10 years, the number of international students in Korea has nearly doubled, surpassing 200,000. This SUEF will establish itself as a strategic platform that directly addresses the growing demand for overseas study among students.”
This edition of SUEF expands upon the existing ISF (International Student Fair) series, which previously focused on employment and entrepreneurship. It is expected to elevate Korea’s standing in the global education market and refine strategies for attracting international students.
